The installation and use of the reducer are directly related to its operating efficiency and should comply with technical specifications and standards. The reducer should be trial-run for no less than two hours. The standard for normal operation is smooth operation, no vibration, no noise, no leakage, and no impact. If there are any abnormalities, they should be addressed promptly. When installing, protective devices should be installed on the reducer's transmission coupling, such as protrusions or gears and sprockets on the coupling. If the radial load on the output bearing is large, a reinforced type should also be selected. Before operation, the reducer should be prepared for operation. Remove the vent plug from the oil sump, replace it with a vent plug, open the oil level plug screw to check the height of the oil pipe, add lubricating oil exceeding the oil level plug until it overflows from the hole, then tighten the oil level plug, and after confirming that it is correct, start the trial run. There are many optional types of couplings for reducers, but rigid couplings should not be used because they are difficult to install. Improper installation will increase the load, which can easily lead to bearing damage or even output shaft breakage. When installing the reducer, special attention should be paid to the center of the drive shaft, and the error should not exceed the compensation amount of the reducer coupling. If the reducer is centered correctly, good transmission efficiency and longer service life can be achieved. Securing the reducer is very important. To ensure stability and firmness, it is generally recommended to install the reducer on a horizontal base or foundation. At the same time, the oil in the sump should be able to drain, and the cooling air should be able to circulate smoothly. If a worm gear reducer is not properly secured and the foundation is unreliable, it will cause vibration and damage to the bearings and gears. Reducers are common power transmission mechanisms used in various mechanical transmission systems.
